As an Editor you will be allocated permissions to edit certain sections of the site.
There are two types of Editor:
-
Editor - This means that you can edit content on any existing page and in any existing container but you cannot create new pages or containers. Any content modified by an Editor must be approved via the Workflow system by a Publisher before the content will go live on the site.
-
Advanced Editor - This means that you can edit content on any existing page and in any existing container as well as creating new sections, pages and containers within the section that you have rights to. Any content modified by an Advanced Editor must be approved via the Workflow system by a Publisher before the content will go live on the site.
A user is added to Shado and then assigned to User Groups. These User groups have permissions assigned to them. These permissions determine what you will get to see in the Site Tree and you will only be able to view Sections, Pages, and Containers that you have permission to view.
There are two ways in which you can edit content:
-
Within Shado Administration using the Site Tree.
-
Inline Editing by browsing to the site as you normally would.
For a better understanding of how Shado works please read the sections on the Site Tree before attempting to edit content.
Note: All content is edited in a Container and works on the principle of Check In / Check Out so that two people are not working on the same container at the same time.

Most of the links on this page are broken. ONly the last one works.
