ShadoCMS can be clustered across multiple machines quite easily, the only requirement of those machines is that they are networked* and meet the ShadoCMS System Requirements found here. This documentation will take you through the most common clustered setup used for ShadoCMS but as I’m sure your aware every environment and platform differs slightly so if the following documentation doesn’t give you enough information for your proposed setup or if you have any questions don’t hesitate to contact us.
The most common clustered setup used for ShadoCMS consists of 3 machines; 1 Web Server, 1 Admin Server & 1 Database Server. This is the setup that will be covered in the following documentation and is the base setup we would recommend for a Clustered ShadoCMS Enterprise setup. If you were wanting to go further and add more machines to this setup additional Web & Database servers would be easy to add.
Other common setups are,
- 1 Web Server, 1 Web / Admin Server & 1 Database Server
- 2 Web Servers & 1 Admin / Database Server.
*Networked: Please note that we have come accross issues in the past when the servers have been on different subnets to each other.
